The Fort Worth Circle was a group of artists based in Fort Worth, Texas active during the 1940s and 1950s. They were largely responsible for introducing modernist art and ideas to Texas. Sharing a kindred spirit influenced by European modernism and the rejection of the prevalent and popular Texas Regionalism, they supported and encouraged one another while developing their own individual aesthetics.
