Object Description
Malacate (Indian word for spindle whorl); baked clay, fine "four- directions" design. Teotihuacan A.D. 1400. NOTE: This spindle whorl was the first pre-Columbian piece in the collection of William O. Gross, Jr. It was purchased for him by his father while on a trip to Mexico in 1936.
