Object Description
Terra cotta statuette of a reclining horse with legs folded under his body and head raised. Finely modeled and coated in reddish brown slip.

1/19/07: Some information about the piece was changed after research and examination by Jennifer Casler Price, Curator of Asian and Non-Western Art at the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth, Texas. This research was made possible through a grant funded by Institute of Museum and Library Services (MA-01-05-0387) for the period of October 2005- October 2007.
