Object Description
Chinese ink painting depicting "Pine Branch" with extended calligraphy passage and multiple seals. Note: Dr. Judith Whitbeck analysed this painting and has determined that based on the script, style and signature, this is not a work by Chu Ta as attributed, but rather a 20th century work.

1/19/07: Information concerning the piece was changed after research and examination by Jennifer Casler Price, Curator of Asian and Non-Western Art at the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth, Texas. This research was made possible through a grant funded by Institute of Museum and Library Services (MA-01-05-0387) for the period of October 2005- October 2007.
