Object Description
Terra cotta statuette of a lady equestrian figure astride a horse set on a plinth. The lady is playing the cymbals. Her long hair is falling down her back. Saddle blanket and her garment painted with polychrome pigments.

1/19/07: Some information about the piece was changed after research and examination by Jennifer Casler Price, Curator of Asian and Non-Western Art at the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth, Texas. This research was made possible through a grant funded by Institute of Museum and Library Services (MA-01-05-0387) for the period of October 2005- October 2007.
