Object Description
Christ crucified on green colored cross. He wears crown of thorns and elaborate pink and white lace loin cover. Above His head reads "INRI". Blue fringed curtains flank figure and cross in the upper right and left quadrants. Red tassled cords also hang here. Two more red cords reach down to cross arms as if holding it. Bottom left and right quadrants each contain a painted double handled vase with flowers. Their (flowers) tops reach as high as the bottom of the curtain. The composition is symmetrical. Background is black, at bottom foreground is a 10cm high horizontal band of red, giving the impression that the cross and flowers are to be thought of as sitting on an altar or in front of one.
