Object Description
Chinese painting of "Bodhisattva in Meditation" in the style of T'ang Yin (1470-1523). This painting is signed Kai Ch'i (1774-1829) on the painting and it is signed Ch'i-hsiang (his fancy name) on the calligraphy. He specialized in the styles of famed professional painters Chao Meng-fu and T'ang Yin.

1/19/07: Some information about the piece was changed after research and examination by Jennifer Casler Price, Curator of Asian and Non-Western Art at the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth, Texas. This research was made possible through a grant funded by Institute of Museum and Library Services (MA-01-05-0387) for the period of October 2005- October 2007.
