Object Description
Walnut bench with wrought iron struts and with carved back. Back is 10 3/4" H x 48" L with a 4 1/2" open space between seat and back. The back and seat are fastened on each end by three metal hammered brads, 7/8" diameter. A carved floral design is near each end of the back and this is separated by a carved vertical design in the middle. On bottom of the seat is a brass plate showing that this bench was manufactured by Kittinger Distinctive Furniture, Buffalo 1896 Stamped underneath the right leg brace are the numbers "938" Received in 1989 and on long term loan to The Old Jail Art Center until 12/1/92 when Deed of Gift was given.
