Object Description
Excerpt of letter from Gene Owens to Patrick Kelly, c. 2009:
There were four trees in the show. It is the only set I have. They are called The Four Seasons. I am pleased with them very much. The series was started a few decades back but I never completed it until recently. I could never decide on the colors for "Winter Tree". It was the most important to me. Finally in a flash it hit me how I wanted to finish it. Did you notice how feminine it looked? It has the looks and feels like a pregnant woman -- pinks like the blush on the face of a woman with child. To me winter gives birth to other three seasons!
