Object Description
Image of three sailors, two facing viewer, one with back to viewer, all wearing blue uniforms and caps, with the back of a woman wearing a brown coat, standing to the left of the sailors. The painting is done in watercolor wash with a blue and tan colored wash background. Enamel frame is original from The American Place Gallery. Verso Inscriptions: along top: painted by Charles Demuth, 1918 about willed to Robert E. Locher 1935 along bottom: Sailors and Girl 350- (350- marked through) 500- #142 along right side: #142
