Given by Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Chilton, Jr. in memory of Bill Bomar Quote from exhibition catalogue in artist's file folder regarding her portraits: "The emphasis of her portraits is not on copying or duplicating a sitter's features; instead, the 'essence' of the subject is depicted. This is achieved through a series of studies and drawings of the subject."
