Donald Wilson grew up in Ocean Park, OR and graduated from Ilwaco High School in 1953. Wilson served his country during the Korean War. He attended Western Washington University and graduated from the Portland Art Museum School in 1962. In 1973 he became an assistant professor of art at Portland State University. He was an accomplished sculptor and artists with some of his work displayed in many states. Some of his greatest artwork is in downtown Portland and Seattle. In 1997 he was placed on the Wall of Fame at Ilwaco High School in honor of his many achievements.
