John Albachten is an artist whose oxidized steel and brass mobiles were represented by The Quest gallery from its opening year in 1973, through 1980. Albachten was then a resident of San Francisco, and his work was shown in juried shows at the Palace of the Legion of Honor, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and the Art Gallery of the University of California at Berkeley. In 1980 Albachten moved to Oregon where he worked, and his works were shown at the Art Gallery of Lewis and Clark University in Portland, as well as numerous private galleries. In 1982 Albachten moved to Santa Barbara, CA where his work was shown at the Elizabeth Fortner Gallery. In 1983 his work was shown again at The Quest gallery.
