Lupe Iule

Indigenous American: Katishtya (San Felipe), b. 1916
Lupe Iule was born at San Felipe Pueblo and is the wife of Horace Iule who was her mentor. Her favorite designs are crosses. She was an active jeweler between 1937-1975.

Lupe Iule was married to Horace Iule, with whom she collaborated. Lupe continued to work after Horace's death in 1978, using her husband's designs and molds and collaborating with her daughter Celia. Lupe signs her work LUPE IULE.
